Gran Clos

The winery was founded in 1995 by Josep M. Fuentes, who brought back old vineyards, mostly Grenache and Carignan, in order to produce Gran Clos. The production of this wine went up in the last few years, as well as other farms and wine families: Finca el Puig and the white Vinya Llisarda (today, Gran Clos Blanc). In 2007, Cartus was launched exclusively for some customers using 2004 grapes, a wine based on 2 red 100-year-old Grenache vineyards, together with Carignan. Also, using 2005 grapes from Finca el Puig, another more basic family was launched. These are Les Mines and Solluna.
